The Bledsoe SideKick Ankle Brace is a single upright functional ankle brace unlike any ankle brace or support on the market. Made of aerospace super alloy aluminum, the SideKick features control for chronic ankle instabilities or early rehabilitation of acute ankle sprains where ankle plantar-flexion and dorsiflexion is permissible.

Features include:

• Inversion and eversion control are stabilized without restricting plantar-flexion or dorsi-flexion of the ankle.
• Anchors to the shoe to permit the shoe to control the foot, while the remainder of the brace controls the lower leg. It can be quickly removed and changed to another shoe.
• Lightweight, ultra-strong construction is adjustable for height, in quarter-inch (6 mm) increments, and position in the shoe.
• The entire brace can be disassembled and the wear components changed for a long life.
• The Bledsoe SideKick is available in left and right and comes in two sizes (small and large).

Indications
This device is indicated to increase support in the inversion and eversion control of chronically unstable ankles, and for increased inversion and eversion control for grade 1 and 2 acutely sprained ankles where dorsiflexion and plantar-flexion is permissible and inflammation is under control.

Contraindications
This device is contraindicated for immediate application to acute grade 3 ankle sprains where plantar-flexion and dorsi-flexion is not desirable or permissible. Application is appropriate after inflammation has been controlled and plantar-flexion and dorsi-flexion is again possible starting in the early weight bearing phase of rehabilitation.
